Christmas Learning

On the run up to Christmas, it is a busy, fun and magical time of year. This year we will be following Mr Scrooge’s journey as he is visited by the three ghosts of Christmas. We cannot wait to share our learning with you.

We will be reading this book during our reading sessions as well as this we will be using the book to enhance our English and Maths learning over the coming weeks. Our Reception classroom will be transforming into the Christmas Carol.

Christmas Dinner Day

Our Learning

We have spent time this week making our own wrapping paper by using stamps to repeat a pattern. We have been learning more and more about the story of Mickey's Christmas Carol. We have created pictures of a winter scene and collaged our own mittens, which look amazing!

Please have a look at some of the amazing learning we have been doing in reception. We had great fun making salt dough Christmas tree decorations and then even more fun painting them. We have also been practicing our collaging skills to create characters from Mickey's Christmas Carol.

What an amazing first day we have had in reception! We put up our Christmas tree and had great fun doing so. We worked together and listened to how we all wanted our class tree to look. We think it looks amazing! We spent time wrapping presents to go under our tree as well. We’re very excited to explore Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
