Year 5 are incredibly fortunate as they are the first year group to participate in Forest Schools! On Forest School days, we need to come in wearing our outdoor clothes. When it gets colder, we've been told to layer up!
This was one of the most important sessions as we went through a lot of health and safety. We all listened intently!
After that, we enjoyed making fairy houses, playing '1,2,3' and 'Zip, Zap, Boing'.
Wow! What an incredible session we had today! We learnt all about walls and barricades and then created our own. We worked in teams and Mrs Whitley said that our team work skills were great! We worked so well that we were even given free time. We cannot wait for next week!
Today was all about building shelters! We had to build a shelter using a variety of resources. The most important thing we had to do was work together and listen to all team members.
As we packed away so quickly and well, we were allowed free time and we made the most of it! We made a huge mud slide!
This week was all about building shelters and protecting them! We had to build a shelter using a variety of resources. The most important thing we had to do was work together and listen to all team members.
We then had a set of coloured balls to protect. We had to think of clever ways in which do this which included having a guard, hiding them and playing tricks. We weren't the best as this as Mrs Whitley managed to steal most of them.
We had a treat today as we spent the afternoon as a year group in our forest school. We started the afternoon with a game of 1,2,3 where are you. We worked together to make a big barricade and en had our very own Year 5 sock war!
