Today we had an amazing morning in the hall learning all about rock formation using chocolate! Mrs Jones thinks chocolate is always the best way to learn.
We used layers of 'crumbled rock' and 'animal remains' and added pressure with our hands to represent the formation of sedimentary rocks with Mr Easton.
With Mr Bradshaw, we made metamorphic rock using 'crumbled rock' and added pressure and heat by sitting on our rocks. Don't worry though, we had them in plastic bags AND foil!
Then with Mrs Jones, we poured chocolate 'magma' over our 'volcano' marshmallows which created igneous rocks as they cooled.
