Investigating with parachutes

We continued our learning about forces by investigating how size and shape of a parachute can affect descent time. We spent some time discussing which scientific enquiry we were going to use and decided it was ‘comparative and fair testing’. We then discussed variables, specifically independent and dependent before we began conducting our investigations. It was such a fun lesson and we all learned lots about air resistance, mass and gravity.
