Science Trip to Rosliston Forestry Centre

On Thursday 19th October, Year 5 participated in a morning of Science and Engineering at Rosliston Forestry Centre, which was sponsored by Rolls Royce. It was a wonderful experience and enagged the children into the world of Science.

 

They participated in two workshops: Forces and Space. During the Forces workshop, they initally watched a bird of prey fly to see the aero dynamic structure of its body. Following that, they investigated aero dynamics with paper aeroplanes. In the Space workshop, they created rockets to launch into the soalr system.
