Art

We loved creating our own posters about how to help our mental health and well being.

We began by looking at the colours artists use to convey emotion and mood in their art, and the results surprised some of us!

We used the image shown below as a stimulus for our mental health pieces of art:

Our teacher had printed book pages and positive affirmations onto art paper so the first thing we did was to use a light box (the dining room windows!!) to trace on the outline of the face, including facial features.

Next, we used acrylic paint to add negative emotion colours to the left eye; similarly, we used positive emotion colours to add detail to the iris of the right eye. We focused on blending paints effectively and worked very hard to do so.

To complete our art work, we added details using pen and wash.
