Autumn 2 – The Alps

This half-term the children have been exploring what life is like in the Alps. We have looked at the location of the Alps on a world map and what countries the Alps are in. The children have explored what there is to do in the Alps for leisure, what the weather is like and what the physical and human features of the Alps might be. 

The children have compared Innsbruck in Austria, with our local area of Burton. 

To conclude the unit, the children created a tourist brochure to inform the audience about the Alps and what they have learnt over the past half-term.
