Place Value
We have enjoyed using a lot of different equipment to help us with our place value learning. We have used a place value chart, base 10, straws, number lines and number bond diagrams to help us master this topic. We are chanting counting in 2s and 5s daily and using dances to help us remember the pattern.

Addition and Subtraction
Some of us have been using Base 10 equipment to help us add and subtract two 2-digit numbers. We found it really helpful to look at how adding and subtracting ones helps us to add and subtract tens too.
Some of us have also been using number lines, number bond diagrams and counting forwards and backwards to help us. We have also had some fun with glitter, sand and rhymes to help us with our number formation.
