Year 1
In year 1 we began anti bullying week with appreciating our individuality, we loved creating our own odd socks to represent our very special and unique personalities.
We also worked a lot on what bullying actually is, how it makes people feel and what we can do to make sure it doesn't happen in our school.
Year 1 loved showing off their acting skills and acting out scenarios, the children found it very useful to then discuss what what they would do to help someone in these difficult situations.
Lastly, we explored online bullying and how to keep safe online, this was very new to year 1. We had some help from Buddy the dog, who told us an internet bullying and safety story and taught us a song as a reminder of how to stay safe.
We now feel more confident in what to do if we ever experience or see any online bullying and we know who our trusted adults are that can help us keep safe online.
