Geography - Local Area Study
We started our geographical adventure by exploring maps of Burton and the surrounding area and Wales. We identified physical and human features on the map and explored what the different symbols were. We used an Ordnance Survey Key to find out what they stood for.
Today we learnt about 4 figure grid references and how these can be used to locate features and areas on an OS Map. We put our knowledge to the test by playing a game of battleships and used 4 figure grid references to locate enemy ships!
