Roman Rule

Today we started our Roman topic by becoming archaeologists! We explored some replicas of Roman artefacts and thought about what they might have been used for. We found it really interesting that Romans made their pots pointed so that it was easier to store them. Not only were they used to carry wines and oils but they were recycled and used as toilets! Urine was collected into the pots and later used to wash clothes!

Later on, we learnt about the key events throughout the Roman era. We discussed how this events could be ordered chronologically on a timeline. Some of our key dates used the letters AD and BC. We found out that BC stands for before Christ and AD stands for anno Domini (after Christ was born). We used this to order our events.
